The UBBC website developed and launched - www.ubbc.ca.The UBBC was introduced to government in Victoria and all eight regions. We requested that we be consulted with respect to bowhunting issues.
Earlier this year the MoE consulted the UBBC on equipment requirements for hunting big game with archery tackle. We were asked to submit a short article on equipment for larger animals. This was published in this year’s Hunting and Trapping Regulations Synopsis.
The UBBC submitted an alternative Youth Hunting Opportunity Proposal to Victoria and received positive feedback. The proposal recommends that a youth season be developed for young bowhunters in archery season and young firearm hunters in the GOS.
